On-water support for charitable
swims
Every year the Club supports swim events in our area. Our kayaks are often
the only water craft allowed to be in the swim lanes. We offer the first
line of support to swimmers and are warmly welcomed for this volunteer support
effort.
Lead trips
The Club could not be what it is without great volunteers like our Trip
Leaders. They come up with wonderful ideas for padling events, plan, organize,
and make it happen. Please consider helping out many of these Leaders and
consider becoming a Trip Leader yourself.
Indoor pool sessions
During the colder months of winter when paddling outside is difficult, the
Club arranges to use a community swimming pool so that we all can continue
to enjoy time on the water practing our paddling skills.
Stolen boat reports
If you are aware of a canoe or kayak which has been stolen, provide the
Club with all available details so that we can make it public and help to
return the craft to its righful owner.
Environmental Stewardship
Individuals of the Club are always trying to bring Environmental Awareness
to the eyes and ears of others. Join the Club in communicating our stewardship
of the environment to everyone who wants to enjoy the outdoors.
